A Field Guide for Everyday Mission, by Ben Connelly and Bob Roberts, Jr.

412003

30 Days and 101 Ways to Demonstrate the Gospel is a user-friendly handbook on bringing a fresh perspective on missions into everyday life. While all followers of Christ are called to share their faith, few feel equipped enough to do so in any meaningful way. Some stay silent, others unintentionally alienate those they care about; the authors wrote this book to encourage believers to build bridges instead. Six broad topics are explored in six weeks: the WHY, WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, and HOW of learning to live a lifestyle that creates opportunities for people to hear, understand, and believe the good news of Jesus Christ. Being outward focused in our churches and families requires motivation and creativity, and this easy-to-read book offers many practical suggestions for getting started. The main point is that living on mission does not require going oversees but does require stepping out of our comfort zone to connect with those around us who need God. My only criticism is that more than a few typos were overlooked in the editing of this book.

I was provided a complimentary copy of this book by the publisher through the Moody Press blogger review program in exchange for an honest appraisal.
