This 500+ page treatise on The Kingdom Agenda: Life Under God is Tony Evans’ self-proclaimed most important work to date. This excellent teacher and writer provides a comprehensive examination of the Kingdom of God in a style the average reader will find engaging. His purpose in writing this is to motivate people to see all of life from a Biblical worldview, thereby enlarging their understanding of how to purposefully live under the authority of God’s rule. With his characteristic style and wit, he also illustrates why this is the best way to align ourselves. He begins by explaining the theological basis of the “Kingdom agenda” from various angles, then progresses to how it influences the central aspects of life: individual, family, church, and nation. The book is neatly organized in separate sections, further divided into subsections, allowing for ease of reading over a period of time. I would highly recommend this book to anyone desiring an in-depth knowledge of the wide jurisdiction of God’s Kingdom, why it is desirable to live within its just boundaries, and how to embrace these truths in an all-encompassing manner.
